Vegan Churros

  • 1 cup  of water
  • 2 and 1/2 Tbsp.  of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 2 Tbsp.  of vegetable oil
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tsp. of ground cinnamon


  • Use a medium sized pot to boil water that then will be added salt and sugar. Once everything is dissolved in the pot, add oil and remove the pot from stove. Add flour to the pot and mix with the boiled mix. Pour the ingredients in a piping bag with star tip large in size.
  • Heat the oil in a pan, pot or wok and squeeze desired length of churros and fry until the churros are golden brown color. Use a sieve to remove the churros from the oil, and allow to cool.
  • Mix the sugar and the cinnamon well, and coat evenly on the churros.
